This is the week for celebrations.
Yesterday was Earth day. The whole week is Screen Free week.
Today is St George’s day.
So in honour of our British heritage we are celebrating in America.
When you’re away from everything you know you crave the weirdest things. You can also find the strangest things in the supermarket as well.
We’re going to have a tea party with china tea cups and invite the soft toys. We’ll likely have Twining’s fruit tea or go wild and have banana milk. Both of which are on rations. Then snack on Lemon curd and Marmite, for me. I even have some Rich tea biscuits. I’ve almost finished the Vimto so no on that one……..
Celebrating St George’s day changes when you’re overseas.
We made some red roses to wear.
Celebrating all things English would not be complete without a rousing burst of “Jerusalem“.Watch the video below and feel free to join in you’ll need the words as well.
Moves me every time.
St George’s day is celebrate in much of Europe. Although St George’s day is not a national holiday in England.
To meet the other half of St George visit Nurturestore 🙂

Hope you enjoyed your afternoon tea. My daughter’s whole school has been wearing red and white today. Glad you liked the dragon – the girls have been having lots of fun playing with their new pet!
