Yesterday I posted my Wordless Wednesday post that showed patience.
As I talked about earlier in the week about our walk to school, we get to go through this park quite a few times a day. Sometimes we are walking fast because we’re going somewhere; I’m trying to keep up with the fast scouters etc But there are some days especially Fridays when we can amble home, stop, listen and really enjoy our local park.
Today we did that. The MO spotted the worm and was concerned that it would get squished and wanted to pick it up and move it. There then followed an interesting conversation. I ask him how did he know he wanted to go that way ( across the path) maybe he wanted to go on a wiggly journey and see his mate wiggles over there. That stumped the MO. I continued maybe he’s going on holiday and this is his last stop before he gets to the top of the hill? The MO caught on and added, maybe his mummy is calling him. So we stopped and watched to see where Mr. Wormy was going. We had a good chance to observe him flopping and wiggling all over the place. Maybe he sensed us? Can worms sense? but Mr.Worm didn’t come out too far. The MO wanted to make sure that he didn’t get squished so we stayed a long while about 15 minutes, which was long for me and the LO in the stroller staring at the worm. MO was wrapped watching and so wanting to touch Mr. Worm. We had time to take this picture.
Each timehttps://play-activities.com/wp-admin/edit.php we pass that curve, the MO looks for Mr. Wormy. But we’ve decided he’s gone back home…….I hope so. If anyone’s seen Mr. Wormy please send pictures so we know he’s ok. My MO is still a bit worried for him crossing the path by himself.

That is such a cute story! You are such a good mom to have a conversation like that with them!

Such a cute story! Don’t kids come up with the most interesting scenarios?

That is a cute story. I hope Mr. Worm is safe too. He might have decided to turn around after you left and head back to the cool dirt.
